Join us as we visit “Honor’s Corner,” a single family home, originally built in 1910, in Richmond’s Museum District that underwent a total renovation and achieved EarthCraft and LEED Platinum green building certifications. The home is over 70% more efficient than a standard new home and includes sustainable features like recycled wood floors from former dock pilings, geothermal and solar power, a rainwater collection system, regional sourced products, triple glazed windows, and an Energy Star reflective roof. Homeowner M.A. Powers will share her experience renovating the home, give a tour, and speak with us about the joys of living in a green home for the past two years. Sign up early as space is limited!
