Lecture: EarthCraft House Site Visit and Summer Social

Join Viridiant and the Home Builders Association of Richmond’s EarthCraft Builders Council on June 15th as we take a closer look at 11500 Grey Oaks Estates Run, a newly-constructed, EarthCraft-certified home by Bain-Waring with an impressive HERS index of 52. A number of efficiency improvements contributed to this low HERS index, including a conditioned crawl, R-5 structurally insulated sheathing (SIS), a high efficiency furnace, and tankless gas water heating. A tight building envelope and tight ductwork also helped to make this a highly efficient home, with 2.5 ACH50, less than 3% duct leakage to the outside, and less than 6% total duct leakage. Project details will be discussed, testing will be demonstrated, and we’ll wrap things up with drinks and snacks at our Summer Solstice Social held at the house immediately following the lecture until 6:00p.m. Sorry, no webinar offering for this lecture.
